Campaign-specific rules

These are the house rules agreed upon for the Mordheim Australis 2027 campaign. They apply to all games played in the campaign unless otherwise noted. Discuss any questions with the campaign organiser before your first game.


Critical Hits

A roll of a 6 to wound no longer causes a critical hit automatically. Instead, if you have wounded the target, roll another D6. On a result of a 6, a critical hit is caused — use the advanced critical tables from the main rulebook.

Special case — Art of Silent Death: Skaven heroes with the Art of Silent Death skill cause critical hits on a 5 or 6 on this second roll, as normal for that skill.


Magic Miscasts

Magic is dangerous. Rolling a double 1 when casting a spell results in a miscast — roll on the miscast table (to be provided by the campaign organiser).

  • You may never re-roll a miscast result using any skill or item.
  • You may use a Lucky Rabbit’s Foot to re-roll a single die when rolling on the miscast table.

Lucky Items

The following items are limited to one per warband (across all warriors combined):

  • Lucky Rabbit’s Foot
  • Lucky Charm
  • Holy Relic / Unholy Relic

The three rules above are confirmed for Australis 2027. If further rules are agreed by the group before or during the campaign, record them in the appropriate section above.
